I had an incredible experience at this hotel, especially for their high tea, which was definitely a highlight for my celebration. The views from the rooms overlooking Table Mountain were magnificent, making it a lovely place to relax. However, I did face some hiccups with the service during my afternoon tea - the sandwich selection was underwhelming, and the wait for our tea felt too long. Overall, the quality of the food could use some improvement, but the ambiance and views made it worth it.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel located right on the waterfront in Cape Town. The views from my room were breathtaking, especially since we had a beautiful ocean-facing room. The staff were exceptionally professional and went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my time there. However, the Christmas dinner didn't quite meet my expectations, as I've had much better experiences at other five-star hotels. Overall, it's a delightful place to stay, just be mindful of special dining events.

I had a delightful stay at this beautiful hotel, where I enjoyed luxurious linens, an outstanding breakfast, and stunning views. Being right on the waterfront makes it so convenient for exploring shops and cafes. However, the service at times felt lacking, as staff seemed more focused on chatting amongst themselves than attending to guests. Overall, it was a wonderful experience but could use some improvement in service.
Rooms

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with lovely sea views, although there was some building noise nearby.
Service
6.0
The service was inconsistent, with some staff being unhelpful and seemingly disinterested in assisting guests.

Dining

My stay at Table Bay had its ups and downs. On one hand, the location was fantastic and the room quality was impressive, especially with a view of Table Mountain. However, there were significant service issues that made the experience frustrating, including a lengthy wait time for luggage and a lack of communication. Dining was decent, but I expected more variety, especially for the breakfast. Overall, while it has potential, the experience did not live up to the high price tag.
Rooms
8.0
The room was great with a wonderful view of Table Mountain, but lacking some expected amenities like a dressing gown.
Service
6.0
Service was a mix; while initially attentive, it fell short with delays and insufficient communication, particularly regarding room service and luggage arrival.
Location

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the V&A Waterfront, close to many attractions.
Dining

Breakfast was pretty standard with typical buffet offerings; I was hoping for more variety.
Facilities

Facilities were good, though the pool area could have been more inviting as it felt somewhat limited.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right on the waterfront with stunning views. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall ambiance made my experience feel luxurious. While the service was generally good, there were some minor issues with room service and lifts that took away from an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, it was worth the price for the beautiful experience, but there were a few areas that could use improvement.
Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated, contributing to a comfortable environment. However, evidence of mold staining suggested that some areas could use a little more attention.
Service
7.0
Most of the service was attentive, but there were some lapses, such as delayed room service and a disinterested duty manager when I needed assistance.
Location
10.0
The location is absolutely fantastic, right by the V&A Waterfront, offering not just safety but also ample entertainment and dining options.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, with a wide variety of options available, though it would have been nicer to have a live egg station instead of ordering.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has great facilities, but the gym felt a bit small compared to the overall size of the property.
